Official Farewell for batch 2023 – 24

In a glittering ceremony, the prefects of class 12 laid down their ‘Flags of Office, thereby handing over the baton of responsibility to the next batch of Senior Prefects.
Dubbed the ‘Formal Farewell, this solemn ceremony was held on the 26th January, 2024. The colourful ceremony was graced with the presence of the Management team of the school. The ceremony began with a welcome address commemorating the dignitaries and was followed by a short ‘prayer’ blessing the outgoing students of class 12. This in turn was followed by the inspirational hymn ‘Count your Blessings’ for the students.

The students then marched up-to the stage and beginning with the Head-Boy and Head-Girl handed over their ‘flags of office’ to the Principal, they were followed by the Sports Captains, who surrendered their ‘flags of office’ to the Senior Physical Education teacher, while the House Prefects, handed over their House flags to their respective Housemasters and Housemistresses in an emotional farewell.

The rest of the programme saw an array of dances and songs in honour of the outgoing students. A surprise slide show of the teachers wishing the class 12 students and blessing them, was the highlight of the programme.

The gala event ended with the presentation of Mementos to the students and touching, heartfelt speeches by the outgoing students. A motivational talk by our board member was well received. The ceremony ended with a Vote of Thanks.
