BAISAKHI: A CELEBRATION OF HARVEST AND SPIRITUALITY
Baisakhi has a religious importance for Sikhs as it marks the formation of the Khalsa Panth by Guru Govind Singh Ji in 1699.It also marks the beginning of harvest season.
On 12th April 2024 Friday Guru Nanak Academy came alive as the vibrant hues of Punjabi attire adorned our kindergarten children, who enthusiastically participated in the Baisakhi Celebration. It was an activity organised to acquaint the students with the harvest festival. The objective of this celebration was to make students learn about the history and symbolizing the hard work and dedication of farmers. They were also told to express their gratitude to the divine for the bounty of nature. At the end our honorable Principal Mr DPS Gupta shared his views with the students. He appreciated and encourage the performance of the students.
